Liposculpture methods explained

At vibro-liposculpture.com we use the term liposculpture method in regard to the preparation of the area on which a liposculpture procedure will be performed.

Dry

In the early days liposculpture was performed without injecting a solution into the body before the procedure. This is referred to as the "dry method", but is no longer applied.

Wet

The "wet method" was a futher development of liposculpture where a saline solution was injected, in the bodyparts that were to be treated, to facilitate the removal of the fat.

Super Wet

The "super wet method" is based on the same principle of the wet method with the difference being the amount of solution that is injected.
With this method the amount of injected solution equals the amount of fat to be removed.

Tumescent

By adding lidocaine and epinephrine to the injected solution, there is less bleeding and less discomfort for the patient.

Because of the sedating characteristics of lidocaine, the liposculpture procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia.
